Parents and Art
If it goes about art it is difficult to convince parents that it's funny add pleasaut.
However we managed to convince some parents who helped do make Christmas Cards. We sent them to our friends and partner institutions.
A trip to Warsaw
On 17 th April the teachers of Gimnazjum im Polskich Noblistów nr 2 in Gostynin organized a school trip to the capital of Poland Warsaw , the city with unusual past and presence. The participants of the trip were teachers, students and parents. We went to Warsaw to do sightseeing of some streets of the Old Town, The Roof Garden of the Library of Warsaw University and Copernicus Science Centre.
Firstly, we visited The Old Town which is a historic centre and the oldest part of the city. It is worth to remember that 90% of it was destroyed during Word War II. We admired Royal Castle and the column of King Zygmunt III. We were also walking the streets, atmospheric alleys, squares of The Old Town.
Then, we went to see The Roof Garden of the Library of Warsaw.-one of the biggest and most beautiful roof gardens in Europe. The garden consists of two parts linked by a fountain of cascading water. The gardens are joined by small paths, bridges and Japanese grapevines. The Garden’s visitors can also see directly inside the library through special windows.
Finally, we visited the latest attraction of the capital Copernicus Science Centre. It’s one of the largest and most modern institutions in Europe, where experiments are being carried out in order to explain the secrets of the world around us. Hundred of attractions were waiting for us. We had a great opportunity to play with science and all of us-teachers, students and parents had a lot of fun there.

Visit to Romania 26th-30th March 2012
From 26th to 30th March, two teachers Joanna Wawrzyniak iUrszula Lasota from Gimnazjum nr 2 im Polskich Noblistów met our Comenius friends from England, Sweden, Turkey, Spain in Romania. We were met at the railway station in Deva by our very hospitable hosts who took us to the hotel. During the week we were taught Romanian, visited places of cultural and historical interest like Hunedoara Castle, Densus, Alba Julia., learned a traditional Romanian dance, took a part in art and crafts workshops in school and we also had unforgetable dinners with delicious Romanian food organized by Romanians parents and teachers. Most memorable was a visit to village Baita where we were served plenty of attractions and where we were guests in private house of vice head teacher if school Dan. During the meeting in Deva we visited the International Centre of Gymnastics where Nadia Comaneci the great champion of gymnastics studied.
Weather also supported Romanian hosts-it was sunny and warm. . Our return trip saw us leaving Deva by train at 9:16 am and arriving back in Gostynin about 10 :00 pm next day, tired and worn but with great memories of friendships from Romania that we will cherish for life. We look forward to the last Comenius school visit which will be to Birmingham in May 2012
